LAWYERS

Lawyers include solicitors and barristers. They are trained and licensed to advocate on behalf of people with legal issues that need addressing.

CHRAJ

CHRAJ is an independent constitutional body, created by the Constitution 1992 to promote and protect citizen’s rights with respect to human rights and administrative justice including public corruption.

LEGAL AID

The Legal Aid Scheme operates as a service under the general supervision of the office of the Minister for Justice and Attorney General.

FIDA GHANA

FIDA Ghana is the Ghana affiliate of the International Federation of Women Lawyers engaged in the provision of free legal services, legal literacy, and outreach, gender and legislative advocacy among others for the benefit of economically challenged persons.

DOVVSU

The Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) is a unit in the Ghana Police Service.

LABOUR COMMISSION

The National Labour Commission established under the Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651) is an independent state funded labour dispute settlement mechanism.

GENERAL LEGAL COUNCIL

The General Legal Council was established by the Legal Profession Act, 1960 (Act 32) to serve as the regulatory body for legal education and the legal profession.
